ACRE-Certified Training for Employment Specialists Nationwide

Find answers to the most common questions about WorkWorksUSA’s supported employment training services. This section provides clear, reliable information to help professionals understand our programs, enrollment process, and certification details with confidence and clarity.

Do I have to complete the ACRE course before taking other trainings?
No. The ACRE course is a strong foundation, but it’s not a requirement. Our specialized trainings are open to any professional who wants to deepen their knowledge or build specific skills.
How do the specialized courses work?
Our specialized courses are shorter, focused trainings delivered online. They’re designed for quick skill-building and continuing education—perfect if you want to sharpen a specific area without committing to a full certification program.
How long do I have access?
You’ll have full access to the course for 12 months from the date of enrollment. This gives you plenty of time to work through the content at your own pace and revisit lessons, resources, and templates whenever you need them.
Is the course self-paced?
Yes. All of our courses are asynchronous, meaning you can start, pause, and resume whenever it fits into your schedule. You’re in control of your learning journey.
Will I receive certification?

Yes. Upon successful completion of all course requirements, you’ll be emailed your ACRE-accredited certificate, recognized nationwide as the benchmark for employment specialist training.

Specialized courses include a certificate of completion, also delivered by email, which can be used for continuing education or professional development credits (depending on your employer’s requirements).

Your certificate is digital, so you can easily share it with employers, add it to your professional portfolio, or showcase it on LinkedIn to highlight your achievement.

Can my employer cover the cost?
Often, yes! Many organizations provide professional development funding or tuition reimbursement. We recommend checking with your HR or training department. We’re also happy to provide any documentation you need to help secure employer funding.
What makes your course accessible?

Accessibility is at the heart of our design. Every lesson is built to meet accessibility standards, including:

  • Closed captions on all videos
  • Screen reader–friendly navigation
  • Downloadable guided notes and transcripts
  • Learner-friendly design that works across devices

This ensures that every participant can fully engage and succeed.

What kind of support will I have while taking the course?

Even though our courses are self-paced, you won’t be on your own. Learners have access to:

  • Moodle Forum – a dedicated space to ask questions, share ideas, and interact with other professionals taking the course
  • Technical support if you encounter platform issues
  • Clear guidance within each module to help you stay on track
  • Ongoing updates to course content and resources

And if you need additional help, our team is just an email away.

What is the Moodle Forum?

The Moodle Forum is an online community built right into the course platform. It’s a place where you can:

  • Ask questions about course content
  • Share ideas and strategies with peers
  • Learn from the experiences of other professionals in the field
  • Build connections with a supportive learning community

The forum is available 24/7, so you can join discussions whenever it fits your schedule. It’s a valuable way to stay connected, get feedback, and feel supported as you move through the course.

What resources will I have access to?

All course resources are built right into the platform and available while you’re enrolled. These include:

  • Downloadable templates
  • Handouts and guided notes
  • Additional video links
  • Other curated resources to support your learning

These tools are designed to go with you into the workplace, helping you apply what you learn on the job.

Can I access the resources without enrolling in the ACRE-certified course?
Yes. For those who aren’t ready to commit to the full course, our templates and documents are available for download separately, for a small fee. These materials are designed for professional use, and we ask that you respect our copyright by using them only in your practice or workplace.
